My Story

Curiosity to Change to Innovation: A Journey in Digital and AI Education

My story begins with a deep-rooted curiosity about how we learn and how that learning can be deepened through continuous innovation, deliberate reflection, and meaningful practice. Growing up across international contexts, I was exposed early on to diverse educational experiences. These encounters sparked my enduring interest in the intersection of technology, pedagogy, and human development.

This passion led me to pursue a PhD exploring the pedagogical implications of integrating educational technology into teaching and learning. I was guided through this journey by Professor Stephen Heppell, a mentor who helped me think beyond convention and shape a future-focused educational vision grounded in purpose. That vision continues to guide me in every initiative I lead today.

With over twenty years of experience, my professional path has taken me across continents and roles, from Director of Digital Innovation to Group Director of Digital Education and Chief Digital Officer. I have led large-scale digital transformations in schools and groups of schools, developed AI and digital literacy curricula, constructed learning and development e-learning platforms and worked alongside ministries, NGOs, consultancies, and edtech startups to scale impact.

My work is never about technology for its own sake. At its core is a mission to build inclusive, equitable, and innovative learning ecosystems, ones that empower every learner with the skills, competencies, and attributes needed not only to succeed but to contribute meaningfully to their future world.

This commitment probably led me to author the Digital Parenting book; a guide grounded in both my professional insight and personal experience as a parent. The sequel, focused on AI parenting, is already in progress and will be released shortly. The Digital Literacy series for teachers provides curriculum-aligned guidance on how to embed digital learning effectively in classrooms, and I have also developed practical digital transformation audit frameworks that can help schools assess their digital maturity using a RAG (Red-Amber-Green) system.

Perhaps my greatest strength is that I dream boldly and execute practically. I am not only a visionary but also a doer. I believe in scaling ideas through action and sustaining them through integrity and purpose.  Innovating with intention has always been at the heart of my work, and I am particularly excited about my upcoming AI Literacy resources, which will offer age-appropriate content through interactive AI avatars and structured learning and development courses.

More than anything, I believe in inspiring others to lead. My purpose now is to help develop educators and leaders who want to drive digital and AI change in their settings, leaders who dream big, innovate with purpose and scale, yet understand the importance of context.  Through this platform and services, I aim to share my learnings from across the world within cultural and local contexts, so they can be adapted, refined, and applied to diverse school communities. I believe that when leaders are empowered, entire systems shift.

This is the story I will continue to write: to lead with intention, to spark transformation, and to ensure our learners are prepared for a world that is rapidly reshaping itself. If this means building digital foundations, developing AI confidence, or simply nurturing human curiosity, then that is the work I am proud to pursue.

If you would like to connect, collaborate, or begin a conversation, I would be delighted to hear from you.
