I am currently working as Director of E-Learning at Ashford School in Kent.  Here I lead on the digital strategy project in which I work closely with the IT/MIS/Digital Library and e-learning Continuous Professional Development for staff, students and parents.

Prior to my role at Ashford School, I worked as the Head of ICT and Director of Digital Innovation at London Preparatory Schools in the South West.  I have completed a PhD in using New Media Technology with young children in which my focus relied heavily on the use of integrating technology both purposefully and appropriately in  teaching and learning.

I have now transformed over three schools in the last few years and revel in the fact that the teachers I have trained are empowered to take calculative and innovative risks with new teaching approaches.  In return, I enjoy seeing how engaged the children become and how their love for learning flourishes. I have some books to name, which you can find within my projects (Digital Literacy in the Primary, Digital Parenting, What does this look like in the Classroom: bridging the gap between research and practice, and my PhD) and have recently been awarded the senior fellow from The Miranda.net society.

I speak regularly at conferences both locally and globally (see Events) and hold online Skype sessions and workshops focused on professional development for teachers. I am part of the scheme to empower women in leadership positions and more recently, have been recognised as a guest speaker at the HMC Annual Conference on Digital Parenting.   In addition, I have contributed to the TES occasionally and my work has also featured on BBC live radio shows along with local newspapers and The Sunday Times.

My aim to is transform the use of technology so that it can reach the millions of under-privileged children and offer them opportunities which were once not possible. I also work as a  trustee for Peace Child International: Empowering Young People and sit on the board as an advisor for Emerge Education EdTech Startups.

Outside my working life, I am a mother to three children and have often been labelled the iPad and Digital Mom! I enjoy spending time with my family and meeting people from all walks of lives. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to make contact.
